Cool Cafés

This week’s challenge is to hunt down some ‘cool’ cafés. This can be interior or exterior design, or just a nice vibe (it’s nice making up the rules :))
Luckily, for this challenge I have a head start…
Location 1&2: St Germain, Paris
Paris is going to take some beating on this one. Certainly a contender for the city with the coolest cafés.
These two were spotted whilst we were looking for a wine and cheese place (sadly it was closed on a Sunday) which meant calling on Plan B.
The second cafe pictured was our chosen spot for ‘some’ red wine which also led onto ‘things you’d never see in the UK’...
There were 3 student lads on the table next to us reading (presumably prep for Monday) and drinking coffee at 7pm on a Sunday evening. Very sophisticated!

Location 3 - Rue Cadet, Paris
Wandering around our local area, we spotted this café - a tiny place on a street filled with great bars, restaurants and butchers etc. (Check out Are &Esprit du Vin on the same street for some awesome wine and cheese).
I was drawn to this due to it not being the typical red that most other traditional Parisian Cafés seem to be.
One of the attractions of being outside the main tourist spots is spotting little gems like this an also watching the locals taking their food and wine very seriously.
In Summary:
Paris is just great for cafés with character and atmosphere. However, I think it would also be good to do this challenge in London as I can think of many independent places that look fantastic and have heaps of atmosphere too.
Next time: Leading Lines
